High in the hills, in a region of unspoiled natural beauty, is the village of Bedugul, within easy reach of which are a number of very rewarding sights. Although there are no features of particular interest in the village itself, it is a good base from which to visit Lake Bratan or explore the beauties of the Botanic Gardens. Situated just to the south of Lake Bratan, it offers tranquility and due to its elevation a very pleasing climate.
